![]() ![]() I do not use a primer nowadays, so what I do before I apply this foundation is I use a serum on my face, such as Dior Capture Totale Le Serum and then I moisturise my face with an oil-free moisturiser I use Estée Lauder Revitalising Supreme Light. The foundation sets relatively quick as well, so you’ll need to work faster with this. I use my Dior Backstage Blender (which is Dior’s version of the Beauty Blender) to sheer out the coverage a bit, and I also prefer to use my fingertips to apply this on my face over a kabuki or buffing brush as I feel it blends more easily this way. Lancôme suggests using a foundation brush or fingertips to apply this foundation. But it dissipates once the foundation is blended in. There is also a floral scent to it that I love and don’t mind, which others may not like. The texture is somewhat creamy and quite thick because it is supposed to be a long-wearing foundation. When I use this, my face looks absolutely flawless! It is Photoshop in a bottle! It has a velvety, soft matte finish which is great as it still gives my face some dimensions and not completely flat. Teint Idole has a medium to full coverage. 005 has the right undertone for me, and though it is a bit light, I decided on this shade because I can just always use my Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat powder to warm up the colour slightly. 025 was almost perfect, but I just thought the undertone was still a bit off. Thankfully, the lady at the counter was patient enough and we decided on shades 025 Beige Lin and the palest shade this foundation comes in, 005 Beige Ivoire. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation in shade 01 Beige Albâtreįrustrated, I consulted online reviews and swatches and decided to try some of the lightest and more yellow-based undertone shades. It was a pretty close match on first application, but as the day went on, I noticed that it oxidised and became 2 shades darker than my skin tone, and the undertone was still too pink. I went back to the store, brought my Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation as a shade reference (I have it in shade 4) and the closest shade we could match it to was 01 Beige Albâtre. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation in shade 010 Beige Porcelaine I was first colour-matched to 010 Beige Porcelaine and it looked right when I was at the store but when I applied it on my whole face the next day, I knew the undertone was off: it was too pink for my olive/yellow undertone. However, it took me a few tries to get the right shade for me. There are 22 shades available in the UK which is a good shade range. This foundation retails for £30,00 and I purchased mine at House of Fraser. ![]() Price, Shade range, Skin types and Ingredients: It also has a pump (which is always a plus in my eyes) that dispenses enough product to cover my entire face. Personally, I prefer a glass packaging over a plastic but travel-friendly one as it looks more exquisite and would sit beautifully on top of a vanity. Lancôme’s packaging is gorgeous! The foundation comes in a beautiful frosted glass bottle, which others may find impractical when traveling. Well, do I agree with those claims? Read on. Blendable fresh texture and a smooth finish.A foundation that gives you an even, flawless looking complexion. So, she suggested I try their Teint Idole foundation. When it comes to coverage, I prefer light to medium, but I also don’t mind a full coverage. I also mentioned that I prefer a matte finish but not overly matte and that I want a foundation that feels light on my skin. I explained to her that I’ve got a normal to combination skin I normally get a bit oily around my nose and forehead. Thankfully, the lady at the counter was keen to help me find the right foundation (Yes Karen, I’m talking about you! Hi! Haha!). I came unprepared as I didn’t have any idea which particular foundation I was wanting to try. I’ve always wanted to try a foundation from Lancôme as I’ve heard quite a lot of good reviews on their foundations, but I just never really had the chance to before I was distracted by other brands! Until recently, when I passed by a Lancôme counter at House of Fraser, I decided to find out what the hype was all about. I’m dedicating my first ever post to one of my holy grail foundations: Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra 24H! I’m a foundation junkie I am constantly searching for the best foundations out there and even when I already found some, I still want to try out new releases! ![]() Okay, enough blabbering and let’s get to the product review.
